Series review: Stranger things
No news is such news, may be the largest harbinger of the series' success. Everything has been known. It's a very American exploration of the strengths and perils of ourselves as humans, but in ways that very much glorify lives being lived. The friendships developed among world despair resound of classic movies past like 'Lean On Me' and 'Goonies,' far beyond marketing across spectrums and ultra tuned into the dynamics of friendships themselves. The audience can enjoy appreciation of any character in being themselves, with full innocence allowable. There's a perilous monster, the demogorgon hallmark of Dungeons and Dragons affection, and the 3rd season handling of all destruction and tendency may be more gruesome than frightful.
The band of alerted youths actively tackle the altered realities at hand to most apparently threaten their very world security, and the honesty of catharsis that they offer in doing so, reflects beyond words. The built-in audience is vast, and interest in it more so.
